American Eagle Motorcycles

The American Eagle name has been used by more than one motorcycle venture. The original American Eagle Motorcycles was established in 1967 by Jack McCormack, a former U.S. concessionaire for Honda and Suzuki, after a falling-out with Suzuki over its import operations; McCormack's parent company imported Italjet, Laverda, and Kawasaki models built in the UK by Sprite Engineering and sold them under the American Eagle badge, though the business did not survive the early 1970s. The name was later revived by American Eagle Manufacturing Company, founded by Greg Spak in 1995 in Santa Cruz, California, which built American-style V-twin motorcycles, and again around 2004 by Tennessee firm Bad Toys Holdings, which built large-capacity S&S-powered machines under the American Eagle name.
