MotorcycleDB is a free, publicly available database of motorcycle specifications, built up over many years from contributions and research. This page explains how you may use the site and its data, and what happens to information collected when you visit.
MotorcycleDB is provided free of charge and open to the public. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.
Specification figures are gathered from manufacturer material, published sources and contributors, and are provided for general information only. We do not warrant that any figure, image or description on this site is accurate, complete or current, and we accept no liability for any loss or expense arising from reliance on it. Always confirm critical figures - and anything affecting safety, licensing or a purchase - with the manufacturer or an official source before relying on them.
One account per person. Accounts suspected of being duplicates may be removed, along with their contributions, without notice.
All images remain the copyright of their respective owners. You may not reuse images from this site for any purpose without the copyright holder's permission.
If you upload an image, you must own the copyright or have the copyright holder's permission. You must not upload material that is unlawful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or that promotes hatred or discrimination against any group or person.
Images breaching these terms are removed without warning, and the account responsible may be banned without notice. Where our terms have been broken we may pass information we hold about the account concerned to affected rights holders or to law enforcement.
If you believe an image on this site infringes your copyright or breaches these terms, please contact us and we will act on it.
The motorcycle specification data on this site - engine, weight, dimensions and other technical figures, but not images, which are covered above - is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC 4.0).
You are free to share and adapt this data for non-commercial purposes, with attribution to MotorcycleDB. Commercial use requires our prior permission - please contact us.
Commercial use of the catalogue via the API is licensed under the API Terms, not under CC BY-NC 4.0.
We handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to other organisations for their own marketing.
This site uses cookies. Some are needed for basic functions such as staying signed in; others are set by third parties described below. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses. If you block cookies, parts of the site may not work correctly.
We show advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review and change how Google personalises advertising to you at My Ad Center, and manage partner-site advertising at Google Ads Settings. For opting out of personalised advertising more broadly, see YourAdChoices or Your Online Choices (EU/UK).
We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used - which pages are visited, from roughly where, and on what kind of device. This tells us what to improve. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles that data.
Some links on this site are affiliate links - primarily to eBay (through the eBay Partner Network) and Amazon. If you follow one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. These links carry a tracking parameter so the retailer can attribute the referral; they do not identify you to us personally. Affiliate links are labelled where they appear, and their presence never changes the specification data we publish.
If you have an account or have contacted us, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the form below and we will action it.
This policy covers pages on motorcycledb.com only. We link out to manufacturers, retailers and other sites, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Questions about these terms, this policy, or the data we hold: please use our contact form.
