Brudeli is a Norwegian company behind the Leanster, a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle concept originated by engineer Geir Brudeli after he saw an old Swedish army motorbike fitted with skis working well on icy Norwegian roads in the late 1990s. Brudeli founded the company with Kjetil Eide in 2001 to develop a vehicle positioned between a motorcycle and a small car, building a first full-scale prototype - based on a Polaris TrailBlazer ATV - by February 2003 and unveiling the finished Brudeli 625L at EICMA in 2005. A refined successor, the 654L, built around a KTM 690 Supermoto and using a purely mechanical leaning suspension, followed at Intermot in 2008. Brudeli Tech Holding later sold the Leanster patents to Yamaha Motor Co., which used the technology in its own tilting three-wheeler research.
