Current Motor Company was founded in 2008 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, by entrepreneur John Harding and engineer Erik Kauppi, with the goal of building all-electric scooters that combined the performance of pricier electric motorcycles with the ease and affordability of a scooter. The company has designed and assembled its Super Scooter line in Michigan for the North American market, positioning itself as a small, US-based alternative to imported electric two-wheelers.
