Dayang motorcycles are produced by Luoyang Northern Yichu Motorcycle Co., Ltd., established in March 1992 as a joint venture between Luoyang Northern Enterprise Group and the Charoen Pokphand Group's Yichu Investment arm, with a total investment of roughly $106 million and a workforce that grew to more than 2,800 employees. The company has since operated as a division within the larger Dayun Group, a Chinese conglomerate also active in heavy and light trucks and engines. Dayang has produced tens of millions of motorcycles over its history, exporting to more than 80 countries and generating over $400 million in cumulative export earnings, making it one of the larger volume motorcycle manufacturers in China.
