⚠ Safety Recalls (1)

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DRUM:SHOES/LININGS Oct 2004 · 04V475000

ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES AND SCOOTERS, THE REAR BRAKE SHOE MATERIAL COULD SEPARATE DUE TO IMPROPER ADHESIVE CURING.

Risk: IF SUCH SEPARATION OCCURS DURING OPERATION, BRAKING ABILITY WITH THE REAR WHEEL WILL BE REDUCED OR LOST, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE REAR BRAKE SHOES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 8, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT YAMAHA AT 1-800-889-2624.
