The Aprilia RSV 1000R is the second generation of Aprilia's V-twin superbike, the RSV Mille. It uses a liquid-cooled 998cc V-twin with a 60-degree angle, in an aluminium frame.

Fast and sharp-handling, it was a strong rival to Ducati's superbikes. Rivals included the Ducati 999 and Honda VTR1000 SP-2.
