Baotian Motorcycles

Baotian Motorcycle Industrial Co., Ltd. is a Chinese manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters headquartered in Jiangmen, Guangdong Province, established in 1994 as a Sino-foreign joint venture. The company operates its own motorcycle, engine, and frame/painting factories, and after investing in production equipment sourced from the United States and Germany, built out annual manufacturing capacity of around one million engines and 600,000 motorcycles across more than 80 models spanning 50cc to 200cc. Baotian has had a particularly strong export presence in Europe: its UK operation, active since 2005, has consistently led sales in the 50cc scooter segment, and the company ranked among China's top ten motorcycle exporters in 2019 and 2020.
