The BMW F 800 R is a naked bike launched in 2009. It uses a 798cc parallel twin built by Rotax, offering smooth, strong performance and a light, agile chassis.
It is aimed at riders who want a practical, comfortable bike for commuting and fun riding. Updates in 2015 brought new styling and an inverted fork. It was replaced by the F 900 R in 2020. Rivals include the Yamaha MT-07 and Triumph Street Triple.
