The BMW R 1200 C is BMW's boxer-engined cruiser, made famous by the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. It uses an air- and oil-cooled 1,170cc boxer twin with shaft drive.
Its unusual design made it a distinctive alternative to American cruisers. Rivals included the Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail and Honda Shadow ACE.
