The BMW R 18 is a cruiser launched in 2020. It uses a 1,802cc boxer twin, the largest BMW boxer engine ever, with styling inspired by the classic R 5 of 1936.
It has an exposed driveshaft and classic details, and later versions added more equipment. The Classic, Bagger and Transcontinental versions are designed for touring. Rivals include the Harley-Davidson Softail range and Indian Chief.
