Boom Trikes Motorcycles

Boom Trikes traces back to January 29, 1990, when Christine and Wolfgang Merkle, together with Hermann Bohm, founded BOOM Exklusivfahrzeuge in Sontheim, Germany, having begun prototype construction the previous September. The company relocated to Sontheim an der Brenz, in the Swabian region, in 1992 and was renamed BOOM Trikes Fahrzeugbau GmbH in 1998 as it focused increasingly on three-wheeled motorcycles rather than the broader special-vehicle work it began with. Boom has continued building and exporting its trike range from that Swabian base, with distribution reaching other European markets including the Netherlands and France.
