Borile is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1987 by Umberto Borile in Vo' Euganeo, a small village in the Euganean Hills, building on his reputation for hand-crafting ultra-light frames. Its first model, the Piuma 500, was billed as the world's first hand-built enduro and weighed a record-setting 101 kg thanks to a chrome-moly perimeter frame and handlebar-adjustable air suspension. Borile went on to build technically advanced, retro-styled machines through the 2000s, including the B 500CR cafe racer unveiled at EICMA in 1999. In 2010, the Bassi family took a stake in the company, restructuring it as Umberto Borile & Co. Production has continued on a small scale since, including the modern MDV 300 enduro, built from 2018 around a Chinese-made Loncin single-cylinder engine and again weighing just 114 kg.
