Bourget's Bike Works was founded in June 1993 in Phoenix, Arizona, by Roger Bourget and his then-wife Brigitte Bee. The company built a name in the custom V-twin chopper world with a distinctive drop-seat, long front-end style that became instantly recognizable as a "Bourget." Working from complete factory-built motorcycles down to rolling chassis kits for home builders, the company built its reputation on American-made components, advertising roughly 98 percent domestic content. Notable models included the Fat Daddy and Python. Roger and Brigitte divorced in 2005, and Brigitte took over sole ownership and management of the company in 2009 after Roger departed to start a separate shop, Roger's Bourget Chopper Shoppe, in Colorado. Bourget's Bike Works continued producing motorcycles under Brigitte's leadership until the original Phoenix operation closed in a complete shop liquidation in 2013, after two decades in business.
