Brixton Motorcycles is an Austrian brand launched in 2015 by KSR Group, a family business based in Krems, Austria, with roots going back more than a century to a trading company founded in 1916 by Otto Petermichl. Brixton was introduced at EICMA in Milan in 2015 with its first model, the BX 125, initially shown quietly at a lubricant producer's booth to gauge industry reaction before a full launch. Production began in 2017, and the brand grew quickly in the retro-styled small-displacement segment, becoming one of the most popular 125cc marques in several European markets by 2018. KSR established a dedicated design center at its Krems headquarters in 2019 to develop Brixton's styling direction. Within three years of production starting, Brixton motorcycles were sold in around 50 countries across four continents, with the brand holding a leading position in the 125cc class in many of them.
