CR&S - short for Cafe Racers & Superbikes - was an Italian motorcycle maker based in Milan, founded by Roberto Crepaldi in 1992 to build small-series machines drawing on 1960s and 1970s cafe-racer style. In 1993 Crepaldi began collaborating with celebrated New Zealand engineer John Britten, and the partnership produced CR&S's first bike before Britten's death in 1995 ended that chapter; the team then developed a single-cylinder road bike with help from Raceco. Roberto Pattoni joined as partner and technical director in 2004, the year CR&S introduced the Vun, followed later by the OF (2006) and DUU (2009) models. CR&S remained a low-volume, craftsman-built operation throughout its run rather than a mass manufacturer.
