Dayun Motorcycles

Dayun traces to a motorcycle retail store opened in 1987 in Yuncheng, Shanxi, China, by Yuan Qinshan, which grew into today's Dayun Group. In 1998 Yuan and his team moved into manufacturing, establishing Guangzhou Dayang Motorcycle Co. and Guangzhou Dayun Motorcycle Co., with the latter formally organized in 2004 on a 400,000-square-metre site employing more than 1,800 people. Alongside motorcycles, the wider Dayun Group also builds heavy and light trucks and acquired Sichuan Galaxy Automobile Group in 2009. Dayun began exporting motorcycles internationally in the early 2000s, building a customer base across Europe and Asia in addition to its large domestic Chinese market.
