The Ducati Monster 1200 S is the high-spec version of the Monster 1200, launched in 2014. It uses a 1,198cc Testastretta L-twin, offering huge power and torque.

It adds Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes. A 2017 update brought more power and new styling. It was replaced by the new Monster in 2021. Rivals include the KTM 1290 Super Duke R and BMW S 1000 R.
