Fantic Motor is an Italian manufacturer founded in 1968 in Barzago, near Lecco, by Mario Agrati and Henry Keppel-Hesselink. The company began by building enduro motorcycles, minibikes, and go-karts, and by the 1970s had grown into Italy's second-largest motorcycle maker, largely on the strength of its Caballero off-road models, which became a cult favorite among young riders. Fantic's competition pedigree peaked in the 1980s, when it won three consecutive World Trial titles in 1985, 1986, and 1988. The brand went through a quieter period before being acquired in October 2014 by VeNetWork, a group of Italian entrepreneurs, and relocating to Treviso, near Venice. Since then Fantic has rebuilt around a modern range of enduro and trial motorcycles alongside a growing line of electric mountain bikes, continuing the off-road focus that defined the company from its earliest years.
