The Genuine Buddy 50 is a retro-styled 50cc scooter sold in the US by the Chicago-based Genuine Scooter Company. It is built in Taiwan by PGO and has a distinctive bug-eyed headlight design.

It uses an air-cooled 49cc engine with an automatic CVT, offering smooth, economical performance. It is light, easy to ride and popular with commuters and students. Rivals include the Honda Metropolitan and Yamaha Vino.
