The Gilera Runner 50 is a sporty scooter from the Italian brand Gilera, part of the Piaggio group. It uses a liquid-cooled 49cc two-stroke single in a stiff tubular frame, with a sporty riding position and big brakes for a 50.
The Runner name dates back to the late 1990s, and it has long been a favourite with young riders who want a quick, good-handling moped. Rivals include the Aprilia SR 50 and Yamaha Aerox 50.
