The Honda XL1000V Varadero is an adventure-touring bike built from 1999 to 2013. It uses a 996cc V-twin derived from the VTR1000 Firestorm, tuned for torque and smoothness, in a large, comfortable chassis.
Later versions added fuel injection, a six-speed gearbox and ABS. It is designed for long-distance touring, with a large fuel tank and excellent weather protection. Rivals include the BMW R 1150 GS and Triumph Tiger.
