The Kawasaki GPZ1100 name covers two generations of Kawasaki's big sport bike. The original GPz1100 of the early 1980s was a fast, air-cooled inline-four with fuel injection.
In 1995 Kawasaki revived the name for a liquid-cooled sport-touring bike based on the ZZ-R1100 engine, with a comfortable riding position and half fairing. It was discontinued in 1998. Rivals included the Honda CBR1000F and Yamaha FJ1200.
