The Kawasaki KLR 600 E is the forerunner of Kawasaki's famous KLR650. It uses a liquid-cooled 564cc four-stroke single with electric start in a tall dual-sport chassis.

Tough and capable, it was popular with trail riders and travellers in the 1980s. Rivals included the Honda XL600R and Yamaha XT600.
