The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is a sport-touring adventure bike launched in 2012. It uses a 1,043cc inline-four derived from the Z1000, tuned for smooth, strong low-end power, with a comfortable upright riding position and long-travel suspension.

Updates added traction control, an adjustable screen and, on SE versions, electronic suspension and cornering lights. It is a fast, comfortable machine for touring and everyday riding. Rivals include the BMW S 1000 XR, Yamaha Tracer 9 GT and Ducati Multistrada.
