The Kawasaki Z400 is a naked bike launched in 2019, based on the Ninja 400. It uses a 399cc parallel twin in a light trellis frame, offering sporty performance and easy handling.
It is a popular choice for new riders and A2 licence holders, combining aggressive Z styling with practical, everyday usability. In some markets it was replaced by the Z500 for 2024. Rivals include the Yamaha MT-03, KTM 390 Duke and Honda CB300R.
