The Kawasaki Z750 name has a long history. The earliest Z750s of the 1970s and 1980s were air-cooled fours and twins, and the modern Z750 launched in 2004 as a more affordable version of the Z1000, using a 748cc inline-four.
It became one of Europe's best-selling naked bikes, combining strong performance with aggressive styling and a reasonable price. The Z750R added better brakes and suspension. It was replaced by the Z800 in 2013. Rivals included the Honda Hornet 600, Suzuki GSR750 and Yamaha FZ8.
