The Kawasaki ZZ-R 1100, sold in the US as the ZX-11, was the fastest production motorcycle of the early 1990s. It uses a liquid-cooled 1,052cc in-line four with ram-air intake, in a comfortable chassis with a full fairing.
Fast and smooth, it was a capable high-speed tourer as well as a sports bike. It was replaced by the ZX-12R. Rivals included the Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird and Suzuki GSX-R1100.
