The KTM 690 Duke R is the higher-spec version of KTM's single-cylinder 690 Duke. It uses a liquid-cooled 690cc single with ride-by-wire.
With upgraded suspension and brakes, it suits riders who want a light, sharp naked bike. Rivals include the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 and Yamaha MT-07.
