Vertemati Motorcycles

Vertemati was founded by Italian brothers Alvaro and Guido Vertemati, who grew up around their father and uncle's motorcycle workshop in Ponte di Triuggio, near Monza. The brothers began in the early 1980s as Italian importers for Husaberg, then went on to run Husaberg's factory enduro and motocross racing team for a decade, developing engine and chassis improvements along the way. They started building their own motocross machines in partnership with Bimota and later Benelli, and in 1998 spun off a dedicated production arm, VOR (Vertemati Offroad Racing), based in Ronco Briantino near Milan, so the brothers could concentrate on racing; a separate company, Vertemati Moto srl, was established around 2000. The Vertemati brothers and VOR later parted ways, and the Vertemati name returned to motocross with the NV450, unveiled at EICMA in 2025 after a long hiatus from production.
