Megelli Motorcycles was a British company founded by Barry Hall, managing director of Sports and Leisure Direct UK Ltd, who had previously worked with Aeon all-terrain vehicles, mini bikes, and pit bikes. Design sketches for Megelli's launch models were produced in 2005, with the brand publicly debuting at the Milan EICMA show in November 2007 after test production began that September. Motorcycles were designed and engineered in the UK, using largely Taiwanese-sourced components, with final assembly carried out in China; the finished range was sold in 37 countries across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and the Americas. Megelli's manufacturing agreement with its Chinese production partner, Huansong Industries, ended on December 31, 2013.
