ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2024 S 1000 RR US, and 2020-2026 S 1000 RR motorcycles. The vibration of the motorcycle may cause an internal component of the ignition lock to fail, which can cause the instrument display, rear lighting, and other systems such as ABS to fail, or cause an engine stall while riding.
Risk: An engine stall or failure of electrical systems such as the instrument display or ABS, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The remedy is currently under development. Letters informing owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed September 14, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. KTM North America, Inc. (KTM) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Husqvarna FE 501S, Husqvarna FE 350S, 2024 GasGas ES 350, and GasGas ES 500 motorcycles. During backwards rolling, the brake caliper may crack near the primary pin casting, which may cause the caliper to break when riding.
Risk: Cracks or breaks in the rear brake caliper can reduce braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealer will replace the rear brake caliper, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 2, 2026. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS
Indian Motorcycle Company LLC (IMC) is recalling certain 2026 Chief Vintage motorcycles. The VIN label states the incorrect rear rim width. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - other than passenger cars."
Risk: Incorrect wheel rim size information could lead to improperly mounted tires and result in a loss of motorcycle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: IMC will mail owners information labels with instructions, free of charge. Letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed July 15, 2026. Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (Kawasaki) is recalling certain 2025-2026 W230 motorcycles. The turn signal light bulbs may contain foreign material or have cracks, resulting in light bulb failure.
Risk: A front or rear turn signal that does not illuminate to indicate the rider's direction of travel increases the risk of a crash.

Piaggio Group Americas, Inc. (PGA) is recalling certain 2026 Vespa GTV 310, Vespa Primavera 150, and Vespa Primavera 50 motorcycles in the color Officina 8. The convex mirror warning "objects in mirror are closer than they appear," is missing.
Risk: Without the convex mirror warning, riders may misjudge the distance of other vehicles, resulting in unsafe lane changes or maneuvers, increasing the risk of a crash.
