The Suzuki Bandit 650 was introduced in 2005 to replace the Bandit 600. It uses a 656cc inline-four, initially air- and oil-cooled and later liquid-cooled, offering smooth, strong performance and comfortable ergonomics.
It was available as a naked bike or with a half fairing (650S). Its low seat, comfortable riding position and good value made it popular with commuters and touring riders. Rivals included the Honda CBF600 and Yamaha XJ6.
