Vento Motorcycles

Vento is a motorcycle, scooter, and ATV brand established in Mexico in 1996. It began by importing motorcycles and parts from other manufacturers for the Mexican and export markets, before opening its own manufacturing plant near Laredo, Texas in 1998 to keep pace with growing demand. The company built out a wider operating structure over the following decade, with U.S. headquarters in San Diego, assembly and quality-control run from the Laredo plant, and product development and dealer support based in Melbourne, Florida. Vento built its business on affordable, small-displacement two-wheelers rather than large touring or sport machines, and by the mid-2000s was reported to outsell Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki combined in the small-displacement segment of the Mexican market. The brand remains focused on value-priced motorcycles, scooters, and ATVs across Latin America and North America.
