"Viper" has been used by more than one motorcycle business, and the one best matching a manufacturer of complete motorcycles is Viper Motorcycle Company (formerly Viper Powersports), founded around 2000-2005 by John Silseth, who had previously worked with Norton Motorcycles, March Racing, and Melling Sports Cars. The company built "Supercruiser" V-twin motorcycles - premium American-style cruisers offered with 115, 128, or 152 cubic-inch engines - sold through an independent dealer network, and in 2010 relocated its manufacturing to a 68,000-square-foot facility in Auburn, Alabama. Given how generic the Viper name is (it has also been used for unrelated Chinese small-displacement imports and a one-off Millyard custom build), some ambiguity remains about which "Viper" a given record refers to.
