The Yamaha MT-09 SP is the higher-spec version of the MT-09 naked bike, launched in 2018. It adds premium suspension, with an Öhlins rear shock and a fully adjustable KYB fork, plus cruise control and special finishes.
It uses the MT-09's triple, which grew from 847cc to 889cc in 2021, along with a full electronics package. It is aimed at riders who want more performance and quality from the MT-09. Rivals include the Triumph Street Triple RS and KTM 890 Duke R.
