The Yamaha XVS 650 A Drag Star Classic is the classic-styled version of Yamaha's Drag Star 650, with deep fenders and a wide front tyre. It uses an air-cooled 649cc V-twin with shaft drive.

Easy to ride and low-maintenance, it was one of the best-selling cruisers in Europe. Rivals included the Honda Shadow 750 and Suzuki Intruder 800.
