The Yamaha YZF-R25 is a lightweight sportbike launched in 2014, primarily for Asian markets. It uses a 249cc parallel twin with a high-revving character and sportbike styling inspired by Yamaha's larger R models.
It is the smaller-capacity sister of the YZF-R3, sharing its chassis and styling. Updates in 2019 brought new bodywork, an inverted fork and LED lighting. It is a popular choice for new riders who want a sporty, economical bike. Rivals include the Honda CBR250RR and Kawasaki Ninja 250.
