The Bajaj Pulsar 150 transformed the Indian motorcycle market when it was launched in 2001. It combined sporty styling with a 150cc engine, creating a new class of affordable performance commuters that gave young riders more power than standard 100cc bikes.
Bajaj's DTS-i twin-spark technology improved efficiency and performance, and later updates added a digital dash, disc brakes and ABS. It has been one of India's best-selling motorcycles, inspiring many rivals. Competitors include the Honda Unicorn, Yamaha FZ and TVS Apache RTR 160.
