The Honda CBR500R is the faired sportbike in Honda's 500 family, launched in 2013 alongside the CB500F and CB500X. Its 471cc parallel twin makes about 47 hp, ideal for A2 licence holders, and its full fairing gives it the look of a larger CBR.
Updates in 2016, 2019 and 2022 added sharper styling, LED lighting, an assist and slipper clutch, inverted forks and twin front discs. It is easy to ride, economical and practical, suiting new riders and commuters who want a sporty look. Rivals include the Kawasaki Ninja 500, Yamaha R3 and KTM RC 390.
