Indian Chief

Indian · 21 model years · 2001-2026 All Indian models →

The Indian Chief is the flagship of America's oldest motorcycle brand. After Indian's revival, the Chief returned in 1999 as a valanced cruiser, with Gilroy-built versions using S&S-based V-twins in the early 2000s.

Under Polaris ownership the Chief was relaunched in 2014 with the air-cooled Thunderstroke 111 V-twin, and the 2022 redesign gave it a simpler steel-tube frame and the Thunderstroke 116, with Chief, Chief Bobber and Super Chief versions. It is a classic American cruiser, competing with Harley-Davidson's Softail range.
