The ZX-10R is Kawasaki’s litre superbike, launched in 2004 to replace the ZX-9R and to go World Superbike racing. It has been a WSBK title machine for a decade-plus, and the road bike has followed the race homologation path: short-stroke four, electronics that grew from traction control into a full IMU suite, and wings on recent bodies.

Generations cluster around 2004–07, 2008–10, 2011–15, 2016–20 and the 2021-on bikes with a new frame and aero. KRT replica colours are cosmetic. The ZX-10RR is the homologation cousin with higher spec parts and a higher price.

Seat height is around 835 mm; wet weight about 207 kg on current ABS models. This is not a first bike and not a sports-tourer. For that, Kawasaki sells the Ninja 1000 SX. Compare with the R1, S 1000 RR and Panigale V4 on the same model year.
