The Royal Enfield Classic 500 was a retro-styled motorcycle launched in 2009. It used a 499cc air-cooled UCE single with fuel injection, offering strong torque and a classic style.

It was popular in India and abroad for its retro looks and relaxed character. It was discontinued in 2020. Rivals included the Jawa 42 and Benelli Imperiale 400.
